Michelle Chuk Zamperetti is the Manager of Community Health Programs for healthymagination, the Health Innovation division of GE Ventures and Health. At GE Michelle is responsible for working within cities across the country to implement programs, develop strategies and determine collaborative approaches to improve population health outcomes. She has more than 20 years of experience in public health, primarily in the non-profit world. Prior to joining GE, Michelle held several leadership positions at the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). She was the Senior Advisor and for Environmental Health from 2005-2009 and then the Senior Advisor and Chief for Public Health Infrastructure and Systems from 2009 – 2015. In those roles, Michelle was critical in developing national strategy and policy for local health departments as they navigated health system transformation and the Affordable Care Act. Michelle was instrumental in the roll out of public health accreditation in state and local health departments, leading efforts in health equity and social justice for local communities and was one of the original organizations tasked with creating the CDC Public Health Tracking Initiative. Michelle received her Masters of Public Health in policy and management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her Bachelors degree in Biology and Anthropology at Mount Holyoke College where she is a loyal and active volunteer.
